The implementation of the Support Zambia’s Future: Donate to HELSB Campaign is an initiative designed to encourage public and private sector participation in supporting higher education financing. This initiative aligns with the HELSB Resource Mobilisation Strategy and the Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Act No. 31 of 2016, (Section 3(b)) which mandates the Board to seek diverse funding sources, including grants, endowments and donations.
Why Donate?
Education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. Yet, thousands of talented students in Zambia are unable to afford tuition and other essential educational expenses.
- Over 50,000 students are supported annually
- More than 150,000 applicants require assistance each year
- Only 60% of eligible students receive funding
