Today, Monday 22nd July 2024, the Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board (HELSB) hosted the Press to a Media Briefing at Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka. During the event, HELSB awarded compliance certificates to student loan beneficiaries who have fully repaid their loans. The certificates were presented by Chief Executive Officer Dr. John Machayi.
Among the recipients were Mr. Lungisani Zulu, President of the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ), who has also completed his loan repayments. Mr. Zulu is one of many Zambian citizens who benefited from the GRZ Student Loan facilitated by HELSB.
The media had an opportunity to engage with the HELSB team, posing questions that were addressed by the CEO.
The Board, Management, and Staff of HELSB express their sincere gratitude to those who have fully repaid their loans and to those currently making repayments. This repayment is essential for maintaining the loan scheme’s sustainability, allowing more students to pursue their higher education dreams.
