KWAME NKRUMAH UNIVERSITY PROVISIONAL POST FIRST AWARDS FOR 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR

The Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board (HELSB)

The Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board (HELSB) has provisionally awarded additional student loans to 151 post first students at Mulungushi University and Kwame Nkrumah University.

The awards are for students in the two Universities who applied for change of status from self to HELSB sponsorship.

At Mulungushi University HELSB received a total of 110 applications out of which 79 are science-based programmes, while 31 are art-based programmes representing 72 percent and 28 percent respectively.

And HELSB received a total of 41 post first applications from Kwame Nkrumah University out of which 12 are under science-based programmes while 29 are under art-based programmes, representing 29 percent and 71 percent, respectively.

The additional award at Mulungushi University brings the total number under post first application to 357 for the 2024/2025 academic year.

EDITORS NOTE:

Returning university students who have passed their exams and are advancing to the next academic year but cannot afford tuition can apply for a change of status, and their cases will be considered when funds become available.
